On December 22nd, the Cajal Institute of the CSIC celebrates a new edition of its traditional scientific Christmas event 'CajalXmas meeting', an internationally renowned scientific forum, which every year brings together young independent researchers from around the world, with scientific careers of excellence in Neurobiology.

Meeting platform for scientific cooperation
The event, organized by Marta Navarrete Llinás (Dept. of Functional and Systems Neurobiology), Sergio Gascón y Francisco A. Martín Castro (Dept. of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Neurobiology), and sponsored by the laboratory of specialized clinical analysis LabClinics and the world leader in services for Science, Thermo Fisher Scientific, is designed as a meeting platform to bring together researchers from different areas of Neuroscience to share and learn about the latest advances in the field, also facilitating the possibility of establishing new collaborations and partnerships for scientific cooperation. On a personal level, this forum also provides young researchers with a great opportunity for their integration into international scientific networks, as well as for the projection and development of their professional career.

Online edition
Due to the current health circumstances, this edition of the 'CajalXmas meeting' will be held online, with a session of virtual presentations in which the participating researchers will present the results of their scientific work through live video broadcasts, in streming, which will be accessible from the meeting website: xmasmeeting.cajal.csic.es.
Participation and submission of papers
Researchers interested in participating should send their abstracts before November 30th to the following email address:
The application message should include a letter with a brief description of the research in which they are currently working (200 words + 3 selected references), a portrait photograph of themselves, and one related to the development of the research itself (not drawings or diagrams), as well as a proposed title for the brief talk/presentation.
